Fuzzy Mud

Holes by Louis Sachar is one of my favourite books: perfect plot, beautifully written, great characters. So good and so different, in fact, that I didn’t think he’d ever be able to repeat it. But Fuzzy Mud comes pretty close. Really pretty close. A story about bullying in school that turns into a creepy eco-threat thriller, and then while it’s doing that also manages to take a look at what it means to be cool, to be brave, and to be unwanted. This is a great book.
